The Legal Stuff

In British Columbia the Provincial Liquor Board allows an individual to make their own wine for their own consumption.

In other words, Bay Wineworks Inc. does not make wine for you, you make your own wine using our facility. (You will be surprised how easy it is!)

When you come in to start a batch of wine, you will be required to sign a form that states:

I, the undersigned, have purchased the ingredients and started the fermentation in order to produce this product for my own personal use. I authorize Bay Wineworks Inc. to hold this product under contract of bailment until I return to bottle and remove said product from the facility.

We suggest that you either phone or e-mail us to confirm if the product you want to make is in stock or not. If the kit is not in stock we will get it in for you and then either phone or e-mail you to arrange for you to come down and get it started. If you want to make a particular kit when you come in to bottle it is a highly recommended that you let us know at least one week ahead of your scheduled appointment, so that we can make sure the kit is here for you to start at that time.

Bay Wineworks Inc. is not a winery, therefore there are no samples available for tasting. We will be happy to assist you in choosing a wine style that is as close as possible to whatever type of wine it is that you currently enjoy drinking.
